Congratulations to the winners of the 2009 Vancouver Island Baby Fair Photo Contest in Nanaimo - 8-month-old Riley and 3-year-old Amber! Riley will be our poster child for the next Baby Fair in Nanaimo in 2010.
Participants made a $10 donation to have their photos snapped by Prairie Child Photography in our on-site photo studio at the Vancouver Island Baby Fair in Nanaimo on February 28 & March 1. Every participant received a free 5X7 in the mail after the fair. Judges looked through hundreds of pictures of incredible cuties and finally decided on a winner in each of two categories: 0-24 months old and 2-6 years old.
The photo contest raised $1500 to support the Nanaimo Child Development Centre! The Nanaimo Child Development Centre (NCDC) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote optimum child development by serving children with developmental needs and their families. Thank you to all who helped support the NCDC!
Each winner will receive an "Original Prairie Package" Photo Session from Prairie Child Photography (Value $375), which includes a 2 hour photo session, 36 4x6 prints, 8 wallets, 2 5x7 prints and an 8x10 print, along with a $100 gift certificate to Dream With Me Custom Bedding.
Our Photo Contest photographer is Erin Brule of Prairie Child Photography. Erin specializes in unique and playful child and family portraits. Her goal is to capture the sparkle (and sometimes the mischief!) in the eyes of your child. The love in a mother's smile. The pride in a father's gaze. The result- photos moms (& dads) love!
